Britt K West, SRA, AI-RRS, CNE
A real estate professional for over 34 years, Britt West combines his marketing education, negotiation skills, and an innate ability to analyze data for every real estate transaction. Britt fully understands each specific high-end submarket in the area, having appraised over 10,000 homes in the Las Vegas Valley market; 900 of which were valued in excess of $750,000 USD. He is especially proficient at determining a buyer profile, and thereby creating the most effective marketing program for any particular property. Britt’s impressive real estate milestones are due in part to his persistence, organization, and a high-degree of knowledge which he’s often recognized for among colleagues. After graduating from SDSU in 1978 with a degree in Marketing, Britt began his real estate career in 1982 as a rookie salesman for a new home developer in Stockton, California, soon advancing to successfully handling luxury home real estate transactions for the Grupe Company from 1986 to 1992. In 1992, Britt became a certified real estate appraiser in Las Vegas, Nevada. Since that time, he has earned the designations of the Appraisal Institute’s SRA, the AI-RRS, and Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE). He has been a Realtor member of Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors since 1992.
When time permits, Britt is passionate about small sailboat racing, having successfully competed at both the local and national level. He has recently met one life goal by campaigning his personal 52′ yacht from Seattle to New Zealand. While sailboat racing brings a great deal of personal satisfaction, Britt draws his greatest inspiration from family. He resides on a large three-home property with his grown children and their families, enjoying his grandchildren on a daily basis. Watching them grow up, and helping them understand the world is one of his biggest joys. Britt also enjoys negotiating real estate transactions where everybody wins. He upholds a strong philosophy that it is possible to structure win, win, win deals. It just takes more dedication. And, he’s willing to put the time in to make that happen. After 34 years in the real estate industry he’s still excited at the start of every day. New challenges and new opportunities keep him going. It is never boring. Frustrating, disheartening, joyous, and self-fulfilling, yes. But never boring.
